Course Title:Statistical Methods in Bioinformatics I
Course
Description:
Important statistical concepts for bioinformatics are introduced in the context of analysis of DNA sequence data. Statistical topics include probability distributions, random variables, sampling distributions, conditional and joint probability, and stochastic processes. These are applied in analysis of shotgun sequencing, DNA pattern analysis, sequence comparison, BLAST searches, and other topics.
