Course Title:	GPS/GIS Applications for Landscape Managers
Course Description:	The latest techniques and methodology in Global Positioning and Geographic Information Systems (GPS/GIS). Data collection and analysis as well as relevant on-line data and mapping resources are also covered. Students will participate in projects beneficial to the local community.
Athena Title:	GPS/GIS App for Land Managers
Equivalent Courses:	Not open to students with credit in HORT 4095 or HORT 6095
Nontraditional Format:	Course includes a service-learning project during the semester that either employs skills or knowledge learned in the course or teaches new skills or knowledge related to course objectives. Students will be involved in the planning and implementation of the project(s) and may spend time outside of the classroom. Students will be engaged in the service-learning component for approximately 25-50% of overall instructional time.
Undergraduate Prerequisite:	HORT 2000 or permission of department
Semester Course Offered:	Offered fall semester every year.
