Course Title:Internship in Teaching and Pedagogy
Course
Description:
An internship in teaching literature and/or writing at either the college or secondary level, with departmental approval, under the direction of a faculty member or the Undergraduate English Program Office and onsite internship adviser. Internship work may include developing curriculum, lecturing, conducting discussion, tutoring students, and helping to assess student work. The internship will culminate in a final academic project.
Athena Title:Intern Teaching and Pedagogy
Nontraditional Format:Students receiving one credit hour will work six to ten hours a week in a college or secondary school teaching situation and will turn in a weekly teaching journal and a set of lesson plans based on the teaching experience.
