Description:
Introduction to a basic understanding of how microprocessors work. Students will learn the tools and techniques necessary to simulate and construct arithmetic-logic unit (ALU), data path, controller, and memory and eventually assemble everything into a toy processor and implement on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) board.
