Course Title:Applied Research Internship in Human Development and Family Science
Course
Description:
Supervised experience with faculty in qualitative and/or quantitative research in a topical area related to human development and family science. With mentorship and feedback from faculty, students will generate and disseminate developmental knowledge over the life span, fostering research and its application to enhance quality of life.

Nontraditional Format:Research internship. One credit hour translates to three "clock" hours per week. (The clock hours include the time spent working on the research project or in the lab of their research supervisor and may include lab meetings, data entry, data analysis, working with grad assistants, and other research related activities.) A student registered for a 1 credit hour would be expected to complete 45 clock hours (2 credits = 90 clock hours; 3 credits = 135 clock hours) during the 15-week semester.
Prerequisite:(HDFS 5110 or HDFS 5110W or PSYC 3980 or SOCI 3600) and permission of department
