Course Title:History Internship
Course
Description:
This course is for the history major who is accepted into an internship program to gain experience in an institution or organization and who wants to earn academic credit for history- related research work in conjunction with the internship. A scholarly research paper is required. Enrollment is subject to approval of the course application.
Athena Title:History Internship
Nontraditional Format:This course does not meet formally during the internship. The internship must be at least 240 hours during the semester to earn academic credit. Generally, students are expected to work 30-40 hours (full-time) during a semester internship. The student is expected to meet with the faculty instructor prior to the start of the internship and after the internship ends, and to communicate regularly with the faculty instructor.
