Course Title:Personal Career Management and Service Learning
Course
Description:
Job search issues and career and life planning. Assists students in making the transition from the academic community to the work environment. At the conclusion of the class, students should be better able to make decisions relating to their future career directions and successfully execute a self-directed job search. Students will be taught skills related to effective internal and external consulting in order to facilitate the service-learning project requirement for ILA fellows.

Equivalent Courses:Not open to students with credit in ILAD 5000
Nontraditional Format:Course includes a service-learning project during the semester that either employs skills or knowledge learned in the course or teaches new skills or knowledge related to course objectives. Students will be involved in the planning and implementation of the project(s) and may spend time outside of the classroom. Students will be engaged in the service-learning component for approximately 25-50% of the overall instruction time.
Corequisite:ILAD 4100 or ILAD 4100E
