Course Title:Internship in Writing Center Pedagogy
Course
Description:
An internship in tutoring writing or writing center administration under the direction of the faculty writing center director. The writing center director will serve as the onsite internship advisor. Internship work may include tutoring writing, developing discipline-specific writing support, creating online or new media writing center resources, delivering writing workshops across campus, and conducting writing center assessment. The internship will culminate in a final academic project.
Athena Title:Intern Writ Center Pedagogy
Nontraditional Format:Students receiving one credit hour will work six to ten hours a week in the university writing center and will turn in a weekly tutoring journal based on the experience.
