Course Title:Practicum in Fitness and Conditioning
Course
Description:
Individual practical experience in exercise leadership, fitness testing, and clinical exercise testing conducted at the University of Georgia fitness center and recreational activity facilities.
Athena Title:Practicum Fitness Conditioning
Nontraditional Format:Students will meet once per week for classroom lecture. Additional contact hours with community members will be established by the supervisor based on credit hours. Course includes a service-learning project during the semester that either employs skills or knowledge learned in the course or teaches new skills or knowledge related to course objectives. Students will be involved in the planning and implementation of the project(s) and may spend time outside of the classroom. Students will be engaged in the service-learning component for approximately 75-100% of the overall instruction time.
