A quantitative measurement approach to the study of number systems for middle grades mathematics. Methods of teaching number systems are based in students' quantitative reasoning in the context of using appropriate technology. Evaluation through the examination of mathematics content, with emphasis on mathematical operations, models, and problem solving.
