Minor - Child and Family Development

• MINIMUM OF 2.5 CUMULATIVE GPA REQUIRED TO DECLARE MINOR.
• Must earn at least a "C" grade (2.0) in each minor course.
• A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work.
• Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V cannot be counted as course work in the minor.
• Courses taken in Core Area VI may be counted as course work in the minor.
• Courses taken for a minor cannot count in a major required area.
• All prerequisites must be met for the courses.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Obtain a Declaration of Minor Form from Student Services (112 Dawson Hall). Have the completed form checked and signed by the Student Services staff.
2. Once approved, take the completed form to your school/college that you are enrolled in and they will add the notation to your official student record.
3. After completing all requirements or in progress of completing courses in the same semester you are graduating, go to Student Services (112 Dawson Hall) to fill out and sign a Minor Completion Form.
