Course Title: | Fundraising |
Course Description: | Prepares students for careers in nonprofits and/or in
fundraising. Students will understand fundraising as a
management function of charities; become familiar with
fundraising theories, principles, and processes; know the
historical development and status of fundraising practices,
including legal and ethical underpinnings; and develop a final
project. |

Course Objectives: | -Students develop a conceptual understanding of fundraising and
its role for organizations, institutions, and/or causes.
-Students develop fundraising planning and communication skills
through class discussion, analysis of theories, and case
studies.
-Students will develop the skills needed to produce or
supervise production of relevant fundraising materials.
Projects for organizations will be discussed and experienced. |
