| Course Objectives: | Provide opportunity for students to work independently under the direction of a
professor on advanced studies not available through regular classes.
Depending on the topic chosen for advanced study, the course could contribute on any
or several of the educational outcomes in the department's assessment plan. | Topical Outline: | Student and professor directing the independent study would agree on an outline for
