Course Objectives: | - This is a continuation of the ADSC 3210 course, with the primary difference being
that students will be participating on the UGA Intercollegiate Livestock Judging
Team.
- Students will continue to increase their knowledge of selection priorities in the
livestock industry.
- Students will improve their ability to evaluate structural soundness, carcass
compositional traits, and breed character of livestock and practice ranking livestock
based on their market or breeding value.
- Students will continue to improve their oral speaking skills through repetition and
practice of reasons.
- Students will interact with and develop contacts with livestock industry leaders
from across the country.
- Students will represent the University of Georgia in intercollegiate livestock
judging contests where they apply their skills in a competitive environment. |
