| Course Objectives: | Students will be able to:
1. Understand the basic principles and elements of problem-,
project-, and place-based learning (3PBL)
2. Communicate the value of instruction based on 3PBL for
students’ learning and motivation
3. Model effective classroom management and collaborative
learning strategies to maximize teacher and student use of
digital tools and resources and access to technology-rich
learning environments for 3PBL
4. Maintain and manage a variety of digital tools and resources
for teacher and student use in technology-rich learning
environments for 3PBL
5. Coach teachers in and model use of online and blended
learning, digital content, and collaborative learning networks to
support and extend student learning
6. Expand opportunities and choices for online professional
development in 3PBL for teachers and administrators
7. Select, evaluate, and facilitate the use of adaptive and
assistive technologies to support student learning in 3PBL
classrooms
8. Troubleshoot basic software, hardware, and connectivity
problems common in digital tools used in technology-rich
environments for 3PBL
9. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to select and
evaluate digital tools and resources that enhance teaching and
learning based on 3PBL principles and are compatible with the
school technology infrastructure
10. Use digital communication and collaboration tools to
communicate locally and globally with students, parents, peers,
