Course Description: | Advanced topics in business and technology. As the pace of
technological change is rapid and constant, course topics will
be adjusted as needed to provide students with up-to-date
knowledge and skills. Special attention will be given to
emerging technologies that impact business strategies and
processes. |

Course Objectives: | Students completing this course will have been exposed to a
number of topics exploring emerging technologies that are
driving business innovation. Learning modules will cover the
current trends in capturing, storing, analyzing, securing data
and information, innovation, and emerging business technologies.
Students will learn techniques for innovation thinking and how
to lead with innovation. Students will conduct a survey of
current and emerging business technologies. Finally, they will
complete a course project focussed on applying an innovative,
emerging technology to a business process.
The course will be delivered 100% online. Course content will
consist of readings/videos, online lectures, student discussion
forums, skill development exercises, and a course project
focussed on the business application of an innovative
technology. Students will be graded on the standard A to F
grading scale and will provide end-of-course evaluations on
the instruction and course content following established Terry
College of Business course evaluation procedures. |
