Course Objectives: | To introduce basic skills to listening to music appreciatively, analytically and critically.
To identify, differentiate, and describe music and musicians from the above cultures including compositional techniques, instruments, genres, styles.
To discuss the relationship between music and other features of cultures such as ritual, religion, history, economics, political and social systems.
To write about the music musicians, and performance contexts. |
