Course Objectives: | This course gives students a theoretical, but also more importantly, a practical
introduction to the issues of local government management. Under the supervision
of a faculty member, practitioners from local government give guest lectures based
on their first-hand knowledge of the workings of this important level of
administration. Lecturers are chosen on the basis of specialization, academic
preparation, and diversity. This course is intended to give students guidance as to
whether a local government career would be of interest to them. |
