Course Objectives: | This course probes some of the key issues involved in the administration of human
service policies in health, welfare, manpower, and related issues. Among the
objectives of the course are to sensitize students to the political environment
in which human service programs operate, to acquaint students with some of the major
social policies and the particular administrative strengths they embody, to
increase understanding of the issues involved in organizing human service delivery,
to enhance insight into the modes of financing, budgeting, and paying for human
services, and to generate consideration of the future of human services
administration. |
