Course Objectives: | To analyze the decorative arts of Europe and America in the 20th century.
To gain a particular understanding of the styles of architecture,
interiors, and furnishings that developed in the 20th century.
To study the contributions to the decorative arts as made and defined
by various architects, industrial designers, interior designers and
decorators and others.
To understand the design options made available by new materials and
the revolution in modern technology.
To demonstrate an understanding of the styles of the decorative arts
of the 20th century by scoring a passing grade on examinations and the
successful completion of a research project. |
