Course Objectives: | The emphasis of this course is the exploration of professional
approaches and presentation. Students begin the project by
identifying the creative sources and techniques that will become
research for the semester-long project.
This course focuses on advanced textile practices that are
tailored to the individual student interests.
The studio work, which will be evaluated by the group, faculty
and visiting critics at the midterm point and at the end of the
semester, can entail a collection of designs for interior,
architectural, apparel, or fine arts context. The level of
concepts, skills, and commitment form a large aspect of the
criteria in the evaluation of the work. |
