Course Objectives: | The course objectives are to provide undergraduate students
study of a topic in comparative studies, with the topic
determined by the individual instructor; and to develop
students' professional skills in literary analysis, oral
expression and written communication. |
Topical Outline: | The topics covered will vary with the individual instructor.
Special topics may include such subjects as exile in modern
literature; diasporic literatures of the world; East Asian
literatures and the West; feminism and ecocriticism;
contemporary Jewish literature, etc. The seminar typically will
be organized around a series of readings of literary texts
related to the special topic. |
