Course Objectives: | Course Outcomes:
1. An understanding of the general nature of cities and the
various elements that make them dynamic.
2. Knowledge of planning processes as they relate to land use,
transportation, the environment, smart growth, health and urban
design.
3. Knowledge of planning implementation tools (i.e., zoning,
subdivision regulations, and other local ordinances) and their
impact on the urban environment.
4. An awareness of urban development issues in international
settings and the role that culture plays in fabricating city
form.
5. Skills in planning research methods and graphic design. |
