Course Objectives: | This course will provide an introduction of legal principles,
procedures and terminology for students in environmental health
science and other environmental sciences. Substantive materials
on common law, torts, nuisances, and regulatory standards and
authorities will give them a legal foundation to assist them in
avoiding legal problems. Delineation of significant constitutional
and federal regulations that affect managerial decisions will
assist them in being better managers to preclude environmental
degradation. The background information will provide a foundation
to help them determine when and how to secure effective counsel. |
