Course Objectives: | Students will investigate a defined problem in marie science under the direction of a
faculty member. The projects will provide
students with experience in doing marine research either on an independent student
project or as part of an ongoing research
project in a faculty member's laboratory. Students will gain experience in
laboratory techniques and research literature reviews. |
Topical Outline: | Students will spend the semester performing research or conducting literature
searches under the supervision of a faculty member
on an independent student project or as part of an ongoing project in the faculty
members's laboratory. The specific area of marine
science investigated will vary according to the student's interests and the faculty
member's research. |
