| Course Objectives: | Students who take this class will:
1. Gain an appreciation for the basic issues within
women’s studies, and to reflect critically on your own
perspectives on these issues.
2. Develop an understanding of the history of ethnic
minority women within the US and how various social issues have
affected them due to the presence of racism and sexism.
3. Learn the facts about racial and sexual inequality in
the United States and the world, and to evaluate this
information and draw conclusions from it.
4. Learn to communicate about politically charged issues
