Degree Requirements

Description: The University of Georgia School of Law is one of the nation's top law schools. The first-year curriculum provides students with a firm foundation in the principles underlying the legal system, while the upper-level classes provide the array of specialty, clinical, and practice-oriented classes essential to success for today’s young lawyers. Our experienced, engaged, and dedicated faculty work with students throughout their law school experience, building authentic relationships with students as teachers, scholars, and mentors.

The Georgia Law Juris Doctor degree program is a full-time day program. First-year students must begin classes only in the fall semester. All applicants are required to apply online through LSAC.org. Applicants need not possess a baccalaureate degree at the time the application for admission is submitted; however, in order to register for classes, proof that the degree has been conferred is required.
