GENERAL ACADEMIC REGULATIONS AND INFORMATION

Units of Credit

The unit of credit is the semester hour, representing one hour of in-class work per week for one semester or its equivalent in other forms of instruction. Two or sometimes three hours of laboratory work are considered as the equivalent of one hour of class work.

A minimum of 750 minutes of instruction or equivalent is required for each semester credit hour.

Most University courses meet three times a week for one semester and carry a credit of three semester hours.
