Minor - African Languages and Literatures
- Students must complete 18 hours of course work with at least 9 hours of upper division course work.
- At least four courses (12 hours) must be taken in residence.
- All courses used to satisfy the minor must be passed with a grade of "C" (2.0) or better.

A pre-requisite for the minor is one year course work in African languages (presently Arabic, Manding, Swahili, Yoruba or Zulu). All
student earning the minor must complete this 6 hours (or one year) prerequisite before beginning course work for the minor.

One course may be directed study or a course not on the list.
To use a course that does not appear on the list, the student must petition to have the course approved by the department.
