Minor - Portuguese

A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work.
Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas A through E may not be counted as course work in the minor.
Courses taken in Core Area F may be counted as course work in the minor.

Required Courses: (12 hours)
(All courses must be completed with a grade of "C" (2.0) or better).
PORT 2001 or PORT 2600 *
PORT 2002
PORT 3010
PORT 4010/6010

Electives: (6 hours) Select two courses from the following:
PORT 4040/6040
PORT 4050/6050
PORT 4060/6060
PORT 4070/6070
PORT 4080/6080
PORT 4550/6550

* Students passing PORT 2600 will be directed into either PORT 2002 or PORT 3010. Students moving directly to PORT 3010 will choose 3 additional courses at the upper-division level for a 15 hour minor option. (PORT 2600 is open only to students with a background in another romance language or significant experience in Portuguese).
