Minor - Consumer Foods

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
A Consumer Foods minor provides a knowledge base for persons interested in foods and food ingredients as applied to food selection, preparation, home processing, storage and serving of safe food to consumers across the lifespan. Food quality, as well as, the effects of culture, lifestyle, and economics are explored.


Required Courses:
(A minimum grade of "C" (2.0) is required.)

Courses to meet the remaining required hours may be selected from the FDNS course options listed above; alternatively, the student may select an appropriate non-departmental course with approval of the minor advisor. Approved non-departmental courses are listed below; others will be considered upon student request.
