Course Description: | Students will practice strategies for effective communication. Engaging in activities, discussions, and presentations, students will highlight the human experience in relation to food and environmental systems integral to daily life. Students will practice critically analyzing, refining, and effectively sharing research-based information with various audiences. |

Course Objectives: | • Students will practice and refine how to professionally
articulate all sides of issues within the agricultural and
environmental science industries to various audiences.
• Students will be able to critically analyze audience needs
for communication materials about agricultural and
environmental issues and demonstrate a higher-level
understanding of available media channels.
• Students will be able to form a cohesive presentation from
synthesizing and analyzing research-based information, both
orally and written, to be delivered to a target audience. |
