Topics include federated/multidatabase architectures and systems for integration of distributed, heterogeneous, and autonomous databases, business process modeling and workflow automation. Course Objectives: | The course is geared towards advanced graduate students in computer science,
although doctoral students in other scientific and management disciplines
and industry practitioners may also benefit from it.
Understanding of latest technologies and application development skills
involving enterprise-wide information systems in real world.
Appreciation of research issues in information system interoperability,
distributed systems, and global information systems. Experience in
performing a substantial group project involving teamwork. |
