Course Objectives: | The course is designed to provide students with an introduction
to the field of finance. Much of the course focuses on the
responsibilities, concerns, and methods of analysis employed
by corporate financial managers, as well as on the role of
financial markets and institutions in the economy. The course
includes the application of financial theory to contemporary
examples to help students understand the many fundamental
changes in financial markets in recent years. The course serves
as a starting point for more detailed discussions of specialized
areas in finance. |
