business environments. Several approaches to ethical theory are
presented to provide the groundwork for negotiating ethical
concerns. Topics include sexual harrassment, product and
workplace safety, affirmative action, employee privacy,
comparable worth, corporate due process, downsizing, and
whistleblowing. |

| Course Objectives: | The objective of this course is to provide students with a
theoretically framework for analyzing the ethical implications
of common business situations. Assessment instruments are used
to characterize students' predispositions along important
ethical dimensions. From these underpinnings, a process is
constructed for resolving practical and ethical conflicts in
business environments, such as sexual harrassment, product
safety, affirmative action, and whistleblowing. |
