| Course Objectives: | COURSE DESCRIPTION
The application of basic principles of finance and accounting to a broad array of
management activities. Topics of study may include financial forecasting with an
emphasis on cash flows and financial needs, valuation of ongoing operations,
advanced capital budgeting, capital structure, payout decisions and mergers and
acquisitions.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course will familiarize students with both the concepts and techniques of
financial analysis. This emphasis is essential to ensuring that value maximizing
alternatives are those that are chosen whenever a decision is made. Students will
be able to both conduct appropriate analysis and use that analysis to convince
others of the merits of a decision. |
| Topical Outline: | COURSE TOPICS OUTLINE
Topics will include ratio analysis, capital structure, cost of capital, capital
budgeting, valuation, mergers and acquisitions and other topics of interest. |
