Course Description: | Creativity/innovation are needed for leading industries and
companies. Critical thinking is a way of deciding whether a
claim is true or false. Design thinking uses a set of methods
to develop ideas/solutions to challenges in any discipline or
profession. This course will focus on developing students’
critical/design thinking processes. |

Course Objectives: | The premises of this course are that:
• Individuals need to develop skills for analyzing problems and
opportunities using critical thinking skills and techniques.
• All people are naturally creative.
• Everyone’s creative abilities can be improved through
learning and practicing design thinking skills and techniques.
The course is intended for students who want to enhance their
critical analysis skills and their innovation and design
thinking skills and capacities.
The course is designed to help students:
• Develop a discipline for analyzing situations
• Stimulate creative thinking
• Incorporate design thinking into their everyday personal and
professional activities
• Apply critical and design thinking to real-world situations
• Learn to participate and lead innovation in collaborative
