way. While the real world experience of the internship itself
is the main outcome for the student, the course requirements
extend the learning benefits of the internship. Specifically,
the student must write a paper discussing the company they
worked for and a key financial issue the firm faces. Thus, the
objectives are:
1) Get real-world financial experience in an internship. This
benefits the student both in direct learning and in gaining
experience valuable in their further career.
2) Apply knowledge from their business and other UGA classes
to analyze a firm they have worked for and analyze a real-world
issue facing the firm. |
