| Course Objectives: | This course focuses on the financial management of financial institutions. Its
objectives are twofold: (1) to help you understand the risk managment of financial
institutions and (2) to give you the opportunity to analyze, evaluate, and report on
a financial-services firm (FSF). Since the student-learning outcomes for this
course follow from the dual course objectives, they are (1) to provide knowledge of
the key risks faced by managers of FSF and how to identify, measure and manage those
risks; and (2) how to research, analyze, evaluate, and report on a FSF in a
professional manner.
In addition, in keeping with the Terry College's Strategic Plan, this course stresses
