Course Description:	National and international perspectives on sport policy and governance; mechanism through which sport policy guides decision-making at the macro-level in the formal and systematic implementation of sports programs in a community, region, or nation; sport governance as the system through which leaders direct and manage sport organizations.

Course Objectives:	Students will be able to: 1. Discuss sports policy and governance as a macro level framework of understanding sport organizations 2. Describe the relation of sport policy to sport governance 3. Know how sport organizations operate at national and international levels 4. Analyze sport organizations and corporations 5. Discuss role and importance of management strategies in sport organizations 6. Develop critical thinking skills related to sport policy and governance 7. Synthesize research work and communicate information effectively through presentations and term projects
