Course Description: | A comprehensive study of the legal issues confronting the
entertainment industry. Segments of the industry that will be
covered include music, motion pictures, television, and
sports. Particular emphasis will be placed on intellectual
property and contract/licensing issues, while also covering
agency, antitrust, labor and employment, and tort law. |

| Course Objectives: | To familiarize students with the legal terminology, principles,
and rules affecting the entertainment industry. In particular,
students will learn how to apply intellectual property,
contract, agency, antitrust, labor and employment, and tort law
principles to various aspects of the entertainment business,
and will understand the common legal issues that arise in the
industry. |
