Course Objectives: | Upon completion of this class, students will be expected to
demonstrate an understanding of whatever area of the music
industry is covered that semester. For example, if it was a
course on the distribution of recorded music, then the students
would be expected to understand the following as it relates to
recorded music: record contracts, label operations ranging from
small independents to major companies, distribution of physical
and digital product, manufacturing, promotion, and marketing. |
