Course Title: | Job Affect |
Course Description: | Reviews research on state and trait affect variables that tend
to serve as independent, mediating, and moderating variables in
organizational behavior research. These dispositions,
temperaments, moods, and emotions impact the cognitions,
attitudes, and behaviors of employees in a number of respects.
The seminar will also review methodological and theoretical
issues relevant to the study of affect. |

Course Objectives: | To enable the student to understand the major affect-based
constructs in organizational behavior through in-depth
discussions of the literature.
To enable the student to assess the strengths and limitations
of existing work on affect-based constructs in organizational
behavior.
To provide the student with the methodological and theoretical
skills to conduct primary research on affect-based constructs
in organizational behavior. |
