Course Title: | Web Design and Usability |
Course Description: | Basic principles of design, information architecture, page
layout, color principles, and the use of color. Technology and
design principles of Web page construction. HTML, XHTML
cascading style sheets (CSS) and JavaScript. Detailed
examination of the document object model. Client-side scripting
with javascript. |

Course Objectives: | Upon completion of this course, students will be able to design
attractive, effective user interfaces for Web applications and
implement these designs using the basic Web technologies such as
HTML, XHTML and CSS. Students will understand how users respond
to and interact with interfaces and how to measure and assess the
effectiveness of an interface design. They will be able to use
JavaScript to enhance the interactivity of the interface. |
