| Course Objectives: | By the end of the course students should have learned to:
1. Use computer software to analyze regression models
2. Interpret results of simple and multiple regression analyses
3. Use diagnostics to determine appropriateness of a regression model
4. Determine appropriate order for conducting analyses of complex effects
5. Implement regression analyses in research
6. Critically evaluate research which employed regression analysis
This course will focus on uses of the multiple regression methods for data analysis
primarily in non-experimental research applications. Of central importance is
distinguishing appropriate uses of multiple regression for prediction from uses
aimed at explanation. |
