Course Description: | Examination of advanced professional issues in financial
planning, including ethical dilemmas, regulatory compliance,
certification requirements, and normative financial planning
practice standards. Students are expected to document mastery of
financial planning topics using an advanced integrative
perspective in the development of a comprehensive financial plan. |

Course Objectives: | The student will be able to:
Document a mastery of financial planning topics using an advanced
integrative perspective.
Effectively apply and integrate detailed client data in the
formulation of a financial plan.
Exhibit expert communication techniques in the presentation of a
financial plan, both orally and in writing.
Document an advanced aptitude in collecting all necessary and
relevant qualitative and quantitative information required to
develop a financial plan.
Demonstrate sophisticated planning competencies designed to meet
each client’s objectives, needs, and values.
Demonstrate a highly developed logic and reasoning to identify
the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to a specific
problem.
Synthesize the impact of economic, political, and regulatory
issues within the financial planning process.
Apply the CFP Board Financial Planning Practice Standards to the
financial planning process. |
