-
How will policies which state "a grade of C or better is required" be interpreted?
For purposes of University policies or regulations which state that "a grade of C or better is required," a
grade of C will be considered a 2.0. This means that for these policies and regulations, a grade of C- will not
satisfy the standard. The same is true for rules and regulations that require "a B or better" or "a grade of A."
An A- or B- will not satisfy this standard.
-
What courses are covered by the change to plus/minus grading?
All undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses are covered. The School of Law already operates with a plus/minus system.
-
Is an instructor for a course required to use plus and minus grades?
The assignment of grades in a course is the responsibility of the
instructor. The new plus and minus system provides more grade options,
but how those options are used is the decision of the instructor.
-
Is there a value assigned to each grade on a grading scale of 0-100, e.g., 90 = A-?
There is no grading scale assigned to each grade at the University
level. The grading scale is the responsibility of the instructor, as is
the case with the present grading system.

Will plus and minus grades be listed on UGA students' transcripts?

earns beginning with 2006 summer terms (including Maymester).
-
What transcript will students use to apply to professional/graduate school?

-
Why is there no A+ in the new plus/minus grading system?
An A+ was not included when the University Council last voted to ask the Board of Regents for permission to adopt a

A for computing grade point averages.

should contact the office responsible for administering the scholarship.
-
Will the change in grading system be noted on students’ transcripts? How will those reading a transcript on graduate or
