Entrance Requirements | |||
| Students will be provisional majors (I-Art 3088) until they have completed ARST 1050 and either ARST 1060 or ARST 1080 (with a grade of C or better) as well as successfully passed the portfolio review administered by the Lamar Dodd School of Art (all required within the first semester of the student's acceptance as a provisional art major); students entering with pre-existing college credit must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5; completion of Core Areas A-E should be done simultaneously with the completion of the 4-year B.F.A. program. The B.F.A. degree can be completed in any one of the following areas: ceramics, drawing, fabric design, graphic design, interior design, jewelry and metalwork, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. The requirements for each of these areas vary; students must complete the entrance requirements for the B.F.A. major before being considered for any of these areas. The A.B. Studio Art and the B.F.A. Art Education degrees function as areas; students enter those programs after completing the same entrance requirements as for the B.F.A. | |||
