Course Objectives
This course serves as an introductory course to the Honors Program and is required for all first-year Honors students. It introduces students to campus life by surveying University and Honors philosophy, policies, and procedures; exploring the range of events and services offered on campus; and serving as a forum in which students can ask questions and share experiences with fellow university students, faculty, and mentors in the establishment of a shared experience and sense of community. Through active participation in this course, students are expected to: 1. Identify and explore academic and co-curricular opportunities in the Honors Program and at the University of Georgia. 2. Develop a portfolio that will serve as a planning document and will aid in the development of applications and other academic/professional documents.
