Student learning Outcomes
Students will understand traditional drafting/drawing conventions and various reprographic methods and materials. Develop an understanding of computer applications and operating systems in relation to traditional drafting and equipment. Comprehend and explain the general importance of computer applications software in landscape design, design and related professions.
Students will develop professional quality work demonstrating knowledge of sheet layout, tile blocks, reprographic methods, and computer command skills. Demonstrate knowledge of drafting, lettering and line hierarchy. Produce scaled drawings utilizing traditional drafting and computer aided design methods.
Students will learn and appreciate the ability to communicate graphically, think visually, and utilize graphics in its many forms as a method of communication.
Topical Outline
The course will be taught using a lecture/studio/computer lab format. Daily
instruction will include lectures and demonstrations of equipment and techniques
along with individual desk critiques.
